For many 2014 will be a year of double portion.
Many of you have sown in tears and laboured tirelessly in the fields of service to the King. Over the past few years there were times that as you sowed in righteousness the heavens appeared shut over you while it seemed the wicked prospered in his way. Unless you had believed to see the goodness of God in the land of the living your soul would have fainted.
Yet during this time a refining was taking place and the Lord was at work within you to will and to do for His good pleasure. The times of refining and the testing of your faith were sent from the presence of the Lord to help shape your character and prepare you for the place of increase. It has been said do not let your gift take you to a place your character cannot keep you. Many Kings of Israel were promoted to their thrones but because they didn’t have the character to keep them there they were soon dethroned. Through the trials of your faith your love for Jesus has been all you have clung to and you have thus discovered your greatest treasure is not ministry, it is not success, is not even the gifts he has given you…your greatest treasure is His abiding presence.
Where once it seemed like you carried his presence to others, this year you will discover a new thing where His presence will go before you and carry you to people, towns and nations that He has opened the doors to. Matt6:10 will be a prayer you shall pray often and His Kingdom will come through you with violence and with signs and wonders and in demonstration of the power of God. You will not just reflect the mind of God you will reflect the heart of the Father and as you turn your hearts to the children of God many children will turn their hearts to the fathers.
Ps 126:1-6 1 When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion, we were like men who dreamed. 2 Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” 3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. 4 Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like streams in the Negev. 5 Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. 6 He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.
Luke 22:28-29 28 You are those who have stood by me in my trials. 29 And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me.
PROPHETIC INSIGHTS FOR AOTEAROA:
TREATY OR THE ROCK? 1.
The spirit of prophesy came upon me again today as I sat close to the site of the first meeting between Maori and Pakeha in 1769. It is said historically the founding document of this nation is the treaty. I don’t believe that. I believe the symbolic foundation of our nation was portrayed in October 1779 here in Tairawhiti when Maori and Pakeha (Cook) stood on a rock (Te Toka a Taiau) in the Turanganui River. As they stood together on that rock for a brief moment in time they were standing in a place of equal footing and unity. This was a spiritually symbolic & prophetic event. Both races standing in a place where they are both on equal footing. Christ is the spiritual rock where all races can stand in a place of equal footing. The treaty didn’t put us on equal footing but the rock / Christ will. Here in Tairawhiti the first meeting between Maori and Pakeha. took place. Here in Tairawhiti the first rays of a new dawn shine into the nation. 2014 can shine the rays of a new dawn of true Kotahitanga in Aotearoa between Maori & Pakeha if we learn to stand together on the foundations of the teachings of Christ. Kotahitanga can then flow through our nation and to the nations of the earth. Psa33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.(See matt7:24)
TREATY OR THE ROCK? 2.
In heaven all races stand in a place of equal footing, unity and blessing. This is because in heaven all races have embraced heavens culture and the only Kingitanga in heaven is under one King Christ! When the 2 races stood on the rock Te Toka a Taiau on the earth in 1769 it was a prophetic symbolic sign of what heavens will is for Maori, Pakeha and all races on earth today. That we stand in a place of equal footing under Christ and under heavens culture. Imagine if this was reflected in all Churches & society. Matt6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
THE TREATY OR THE ROCK? 3.
Just in case you are hearing what “I’m not saying.” I don’t believe the treaty is the best depiction of unity between Maori and Pakeha. I believe the meeting on the rock is the best depiction of unity between Maori and Pakeha and any race for that matter. However the message of the rock DOESNT DISMISS THE TREATY. On the contrary from heavens point of view it ENDORSES IT for Maori and Pakeha. If the colonisers of that day truly stayed on the rock / teachings of Christ and covenant they would not have violated it and both races would have stayed in a place of equal footing to this day. However in Aotearoa today there is a new generation of Maori and Pakeha who can help right the wrongs of the past as we stand and work together in true kotahitanga on the rock. What happened in1769 was only a prophetic depiction of kotahitanga not a physical reality. Cook and the Maori warrior were not literally standing in a place of true harmony or unity, as the skirmishes and deaths that followed show. Standing on the rock was merely a prophetic and symbolic depiction of kotahitanga. But the prophetic depiction of 1768 can start to become a physical reality in 2014. I am hearing of many Pastors and Churches of Maori, Pakeha, Pacifica, Asian throughout the Motu wanting to help make this prophetic depiction become a literal reality. Acts 4:32 Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common…Ps133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity
TREATY OR THE ROCK? 4.
The meeting of the Maori Warrior and Cook on the rock in 1769 is often overshadowed by the misunderstandings which resulted in the tragic killings of Maori by Cooks men. Their blood still cries from the land. Only the application of the blood of Jesus can bring true healing and reconciliation to this situation. English and Maori culture will only find true and lasting kotahitanga when both embrace heavens culture. Today if you are standing on the rock of a living relationship with Christ you can allow the river of His kotahitanga / reconciliation to flow through you to help change history. Jn7:38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
